Ktar Deathbringer was the first incarnation of Hawkman.
History
Ktar served the Lord Beyond the Void, an ancient entity which sought to consume the universe. The Herald Shrra sensed something that was good in Ktar and decided to save him by reaching out and making herself visible to him despite the great slaughter he committed, leading to his eventual redemption. And so, they were cursed by The Presence to reincarnate across space and time alongside each other until they saved as many lives as Ktar took during his time as a servant of the Lord Beyond the Void.[1][2]
