Synopsis[]
001 reveals the origins of the Klaxosaurs to Zero Two. After confronting 001, Hiro boards Strelizia to stop Zero Two, who attacks him. Via connecting with her consciousness, Hiro recalls forgotten memories from when he and Zero two knew each other as children. Zero Two leaves Squad 13 as the siege of the Gran Crevasse begins.
Zero Two enters the front lines in the siege of the Gran Crevasse and encounters 001 in her KlaxosaurFRANXX. they engage in a battle but 001 effortlessly overwhelms a stampede Strelizia and defeats Zero Two. 001 then reveals the background of the Klaxo Sapiensand the motive behind 001’s goal to destroy humanity - retribution for the abuse of the planet and death of her brethren at the hands of the humans. 001 tries to take control of Star Entity, but is infected by a virus that is really a bomb installed by APE to destroy the planet. 001 then kills the APE council by destroying its HQ and it is shown Papa was a VIRM. Meanwhile, Squad 13 helps Hiro get to the battlefield and he reunited with Zero Two, and they reconcile. Strelizia undergoes an evolution and kills 001, who decides to entrust the planet to them and uses her life force to heal the planet. It is revealed Nana and Hachi survived Plantation 13’s destruction and Dr. FRANXX’s final wish was for them to look after the children. With the war finally over, the Parasites contemplate their future. Hiro and Zero Two swear to be together forever and a tiny plant is shown growing from the ground.
