The Dispelling Ring is a ring in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- A protective ring set with gemstones
of four different colors.
Increases the wearer's resistance to magic,
lightning, fire and dark.
- The artistry required to attune the varying
powers of four different stones within one ring
could only be described as transcendental.
- There is only one sorcerer who could have
done this; a man from the lost land of Olaphis.
Availability[]
- Given to the player by Royal Sorcerer Navlaan as a reward for the assassination of Laddersmith Gilligan. The player must be Hollow and Navlaan's cell must be closed.
- The +1 version can be found in the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC. It is located behind a destructible wall that can only be destroyed by luring a Cask Runner to it and blowing it up. The destructible wall can be reached by going the opposite way of the gate to the Smelter Throne bonfire when on the elevator and going up the staircase at the end of the stairs. The specific wall is the one between the second and third pillar on the left.
- Alternatively, take the first elevator on the left from the Foyer bonfire to go up and take the next elevator up before going right. Follow the corridor with the movable, flame-spraying bull head and take the stairs up. Do not move this upper corridor's bull head, instead try to lure or push one of the Cask Runners into it to destroy the wall (may require clearing out the enemies, just make sure to not use any source of Fire Damage as that might accidentally detonate a cask).
Effect[]
Increases Fire, Lightning, Magic and Dark defenses by 60 or 120 points each depending on the variant.
