Junko Enoshima (江ノ島 盾子) is a student in Hope's Peak Academy's Class 78th, and a participant of the Killing School Life featured in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Her title is the Ultimate Fashionista (超高校級の「ギャル」 lit. Super High School Level Gyaru).

In Chapter 6 of Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc, it is revealed that the student who Class 78th believed was Junko Enoshima was really Junko's older twin sister, Mukuro Ikusaba, in disguise. The real Mukuro Ikusaba was the Ultimate Soldier (超高校級の「軍人」lit. Super High School Level Soldier), and the real Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Despair, was the Mastermind behind The Tragedy and the Killing School Life. Mukuro had entered the killing game in order to help Junko manipulate it from the inside, but was ultimately murdered by her own sister, who controlled Monokuma.
