I made this for a friend who goes on long tramps; I mean, honestly, 3 and 4 day tramps. Ooh I feel tired already.

Our son-in-law is fishing mad and goes out mostly on his fishing jetski. He is very generous with his catch and we enjoy the fruits of his labours. He says the more he gives away, the more reason to go fishing again! Anyway it's his birthday this week and I decided to honour his fishing prowess.
I stamped on the base card and also on tiny snippets of patterned paper to do some paper piecing. The bottom is stencilled through confetti waste. I drew the hanging line and bird footprints freehand.

Each week, Lysha puts up a photographic challenge with prompts for us to look out for, then we share on Lysha's Saturday (my Sunday). Get inspired!
this weeks prompts are: weather, sharpen, by accident, start with N, your choice.
Weather: June is the first month of our winter and we are having a huge weather event. While it has been horrible here with rain, thunder and lightning, in other parts of the country there has been hail, snow, tornadoes and incredible rain and wind. Here was a spot on our flooded patio with rain patterns, I had to wait for a lighter time of day because it has been so dark with the thunderclouds.
By Accident. Well this was an Ikea wardrobe that I store my fabrics etc in. While moving it from one place to another with a handtruck, our son lost control of it, it tipped over sideways into our car smashing only the taillight assembly. The car needs a new taillight, but the wardrobe is broken beyond repair, with all the fixings torn out. It was quite graceful really as it tipped over and hit the car, it just slowly disassembled itself.
This is a different class to the Seasons Art Class on Wednesdays.

Stencilled and embossed - a great background for a bold greeting. The diecut greeting is placed over a band of vellum which diffuses the background and makes the stacked sentiment look even bolder.

I made this for one of our grandsons who is a real football fan.
Some of the components are from the 'bits' box on my desk, and are of unknown origin. I am trying to use up already made bits instead of making more bits! If you know the brands of these, please tell me and I will acknowledge the maker.

I'm back, moved in at the new house, but not unpacked properly yet.
This week the prompts were: Window view quarterly, happy, nearby, loud, your choice.
Window view quarterly: The view from the bump-out window looking down the side of the house toward the street. This is a lovely place to sit with a cuppa, read a book or whatever. It will take a little time for the garden to grow.
