Polski: Plac w widoku z budowanego wieżowca Sky Tower. Do 2007 r. funkcję placu wyznaczał pawilon handlowy, zawieszony częściowo nad jezdniami ul. Zaporoskiej . W czasach kiedy go projektowano były inne normy wysokości dla tego typu obiektów, projektanci zawsze musieli celować w minimum, bo każdy centymetr wyżej czy szerzej oznaczał dodatkowe tony deficytowej stali i cementu. Wyszło więc 3,30 m prześwitu. Auta też z czasem urosły i coraz częściej dochodziło do kolizji ze stropem pawilonu . Dodam, że nie był to budynek energooszczędny, koszty ogrzewania rosły, co mogło być dodatkowym argumentem za częściową rozbiórką. |
