Description
Deutsch: Das Foto zeigt das Hilfspumpwerk am Wasserstraßenkreuz Minden bei Minden, Nordrhein-Westfalen von unten, d.h. vom Niveau der Weser aus. Das Hilfspumpwerk Minden befindet sich am rechten Weserufer und wurde in den Jahren 1911-1914 erbaut. Die Förderleistung beträgt 4 m³/s. Da im Normalfall der Wasserbedarf des Mittellandkanals durch das Hauptpumpwerk gedeckt wird, wird das Hilfspumpwerk nur benötigt, um im Bedarfsfall die Kanalstrecke östlich von Minden zu versorgen. Außerdem wird das Hilfspumpwerk ergänzend in niederschlagsarmen Zeiträumen und bei einer Außerbetriebnahme einzelner oder mehrerer Pumpen des Hauptpumpwerkes Minden eingesetzt.
