Description
English: The mouth of the river Teign Teignmouth from above the clouds.

The wooded Ness at Shaldon is at the bottom middle of the photograph with its high red brown cliffs and smugglers' tunnels. The foot ferry crosses from Teignmouth (to the right) from the jutting out spur known as "The Point" to Shaldon.

Notices warn visitors not to swim across the river here.
