Description
English: My grandfather , Eugene Marshall, had visited Ypres (or somewhere near) whilst stationed with the Royal Engineers in Northern France. He had acquired this series of photographs of Ypres folded into an imitation book (50mm x 37mm) made from tin(?) and coated with silver. The front has a panel depicting the Cloth Hall, the back, a fancy scroll. Inside are 8 views of Ypres one dated 1913. They show Ypres as it was before its devastating bombardment during the War.
