The fear of a resolution to the war in which Italy gained no advantage is often present in the country’s propaganda. In this poster, the Bolshevik Russia that agreed with the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk (March 3, 1918) is represented as a serf, bayonet in the back, forced to carry out death’s terrible work. This poster complements another poster, also by Sergio Canevari, entitled German Peace.
