Summary
[edit]DescriptionRelics of St. Stephen and St. Clemes Hofbauer in Hajdudorog.jpg |
English: The relics of Saint Stephen, the protomartyr and Saint Clemens Hofbauer, the patron saint of Vienna and a piece of stone between the two relics from the Stephansdom, Vienna. The relics are right now in the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna presented the relics to Fülöp Kocsis, Greek Catholic Bishop of Hajdúdorog on the occasion of the re-sanctification of the basilica of Máriapócs. This was a gesture from the archbishop because a sacred icon of the Holy Virgin, which was said to weep tears and miraculously heal the sick, was taken hundreds of years ago to Vienna and it is still exhibited in the Stephansdom.
The bishop of Hajdúdorog placed the relics in his cathedral, in Hajdúdorog on the cathedral's feast day - 21st of November, 2010.
Magyar: Szent István vértanú és Hofbauer Szent Kelemen, Bécs védőszentjének ereklyéi. A két ereklye között a bécsi Stephansdom köve látható. Az ereklyéket ma a Hajdúdorogi Görög Katolikus Székesegyházban láthatjuk. Christoph Schönborn, Bécs érseke ajándékozta a szent relikviákat Kocsis Fülöp, hajdúdorogi görög katolikus püspöknek a máriapócsi bazilika újraszentelésének alkalmából.
