Notes | The inner part of the bowl was adorned with plaques with Polish white eagle and Vasa sheaf and at the bottom of the base there is a plaque with Lubicz coat of arms of Piotr Strabowski, his titulature - Piotr Strabowski, Kasztelan Parnawski, Trejdenski, Skujeński Starosta, Ciwum Weszmiański, and "his virtues" in Latin. The bowl was most probably created as a sign of gratitude for granting the castellany of Parnawa (today Pärnu in Estonia) on March 15th, 1600. Strabowski participated in 1606 rebellion against the king (Zebrzydowski rebellion), hence the bowl was created before this date. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
