Description
Deutsch: Das Naturdenkmal der Kastanie mit dem 5-fächerigen Stamm in Marburg an der Straße Barfüßertor nach dem Trockensommer 2018, eines der wenigen Naturdenkmale in der Stadt (viele nachwachsende Bäume werden mit der Baumschutzsatzung geschützt): Naturdenkmale, ND 5.93.009 - Fünfstämmige Rosskastanie im Barfüßertor auf marburg.de. Selbst der alte Baum (Aesculus hippocastanum) hat durch den geringen Regenfall und die starke Sonne arg gelitten, dünne, bereits gelb und braun gewordene Belaubung im September 2018. Der grosse im Frühjahr auch grüne Baum hat an seinem Standort mit weitgehender Versiegelung nur wenig Zugang zum von den Dächern und dem Boden abfliessenden Oberflächenwasser, vielleicht eine Ausgleichsmassnahme.
