Français : Photo prise en début de décrue en amont de la Commune d'Arques, lors de l'inondation record de l'Aa (niveau record dépassé de 40 cm), début mars 2002. La rocade construite dans la vallée selon le principe technique du "déblai-remblais" semble avoir bloqué une partie du flux, protégeant (un peu) Arques en aval, mais exacerbannt la crue en amont. Les ouvrages ont été sous-dimensionnés (malgré une étude d'impact et enquête publique). On peut se demander si l'abandon ou la destruction de presque tous les barrages en Amont n'a pas fortement accru le débit de pointe de la crue. Autrefois l'onde de crue suivait les grosses pluies de plusieurs heures, voire de plusieurs jours. Ici la crue a été anormalement brutale, le paysage ne portant pas en aval de trace d'une pluie assez exceptionnelle pour expliquer la violence de l'onde de crue. la zone inondée est ici un champs qui est en fait une ancienne prairie de fond de vallée mise en culture (labour) les années précédentes. |
