Epiphyllum oxypetalum, l'Epiphyllum à large feuilles, est une espèce de plantes épiphytes appartenant à la famille des Cactaceae. La fleur a la particularité de ne s'ouvrir que quelques heures dès que la nuit tombe. Elle exhale alors un parfum subtil très puissant. Elle est fanée au lever du jour. La rareté de cette floraison en fait un véritable évènement. En région parisienne, cette plante tropicale doit être cultivée à l'intérieur des maisons dans un espace très lumineux.
