[edit]DescriptionFokker G.I (94 + -) und Bf 110 C (3U+DR) (1).jpg |
Deutsch: Fokker G.I, ( 94 + - ), eingesetzt in der II.
English: Fokker G.I, (94 + - ), used in the II Group/Destroyer School 1, Neubiberg, as a training aircraft for destroyer crews. In the background, left, a Messerschmitt Bf 110 C (3U + DR, white D) of the 7th/ZG 26 (7th Squadron/Destroyer Squadron 26), Neubiberg airfield near Munich, winter 1940/41. After heavy losses in the Battle of Britain, the III/ZG 26 (7th to 9th Squadron) was in Neubiberg from Nov. to Dec. 1940 for the introduction and acceptance of new aircraft and personnel. In the background, on the right, you can also see the end of the fuselage of a Bf 110 with the beam cross. In addition, the partly tree-lined edge of the airfield with multi-storey private houses or residential buildings of farms in the district of Neubiberg, Gmkg. Unterbiberg, very probably located on today's "Äussere Hauptstraße". See representation of the then north-eastern airfield area in the official topographic map 1:25,000 (position sheet 715) edition 1950' in comparison with the current local map 1:10,000 on BayernAtlas: https://v.bayern.de/yqd5S .
