English: A ferrite circulator disassembled. This is a microwave electronic device that has 3 ports (terminals at left, right, and bottom) which attach to coaxial cable lines carrying radio waves. It has the property that radio power entering any port only comes out the port to clockwise. It is made with a piece of ferrite material in a magnetic field, visible in the center. The right and left pieces are powerful magnet pole pieces that provide the magnetic field. |
