Vue sur l'église Saint Saturnin (depuis la rive droite). L'église Saint Saturnin de Blois,rue Munier, se trouve sur la rive gauche de la Loire, à proximité du Pont Jacques Gabriel, au cœur du quartier de Vienne. Cette petite église paroissiale était celle des bateliers et fut longtemps le lieu d'un pèlerinage à Notre-Dame des Aydes. Construite à la place d'une ancienne église du Xème siècle, l'édifice sera remanié au XVI ème siècle grâce au soutien financier d'Anne de Bretagne. Incendiée par les protestants en 1568, l'édifice sera restauré au début du XVIIe.
The church of Saint Saturnin de Blois, Munier street, on the left bank of the Loire, near the Pont Jacques Gabriel, in the heart of Vienna. This small parish church was the church of the boatmen and was for a long the site of a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Aydes. Built on the site of an old church of the tenth century, the building will be rebuilt in the XVI century thanks to Anne financial support from Britain. Burned by the Protestants in 1568, the building will be restored in the early seventeenth century. |
