Object history
Deutsch: Der Bienenkorb ist redendes Symbol für den Namen Zeitlarn, der als Siedlung zu den Imkern gedeutet wird. Der heraldisch stilisierte Fisch symbolisiert die Lage der Gemeinde am fischreichen Regen. Hufeisen und Hammer erinnern an die Hufschmiede, die in Zeitlarn schon früh belegt sind; die Darstellung der Werkzeuge lehnt sich an ein Wappenschild auf dem Ölbergrelief in der Kirche von Zeitlarn (um 1505) an. Nach der Zusammenlegung der Gemeinden Regendorf und Zeitlarn zur neuen Gemeinde Zeitlarn (1978) wurde das Zeitlarner Gemeindewappen von 1969 unverändert übernommen. Das Regendorfer Wappen von 1971 fand keine Berücksichtigung.
