Object history
Deutsch: Der halbe goldene Falke gibt das heraldische Symbol der um 1272 ausgestorbenen Grafen von Falkenstein in geminderter Form wieder. Das Dynastengeschlecht war im Gebiet um Kirchdorf a. Inn reich begütert und übte die Gerichts- und Grundherrschaft aus. Mit diesem auf die frühe Geschichte verweisenden Symbol wurde der Laugenturm als Sinnbild der neuzeitlichen Entwicklung kombiniert. Er steht für die seit 1909 in Raubling-Redenfelden angesiedelte Papierindustrie (Aschaffenburger Zellstoffwerke), die den früheren Bauerndörfern Raubling und Redenfelden ihr industrielles Gepräge gab und Raubling zum größten und zentralen Ort der Gemeinde werden ließ. Deshalb wurde die Gemeinde auch 1953, dem Jahr der Wappenannahme, von Kirchdorf a. Inn in Raubling umbenannt.
