Object history
Deutsch: Schon das Fleckensiegel des Jahres 1695 zeigt die Korngarbe als die „redende" Wappenfigur der wegen der Fruchtbarkeit ihrer Markung und zur Unterscheidung von anderen Orten mit dem Namen „Westheim" seit dem 15. Jahrhundert als „Kornwestheim" bezeichneten ehemaligen Dorfgemeinde. Seit dem Jahre 1925 stehen die jetzigen Wappen- und Flaggenfarben der Gemeinde fest, die am 1. April 1931 zur Stadt erhoben worden ist.
