El salto de Calomarde en el río de la Fuente del Berro es un buen ejemplo de esos lugares donde el agua se torna furia, ejemplo que no por conocido y visitado deja de sorprender al visitante. Este río es un afluente del Guadalaviar que forma en este punto de la comarca de Albarracín un salto de unos 20 metros. El agua cae en una profunda poza revestida de construcciones traverníticas que datan de entre 7.000 y 10.000 años. El acceso a pie tanto a la parte alta como a la cascada está bien marcado y señalizado, y no presenta dificultades. El agua ha creado singulares cuevas y formaciones rocosas a su paso, como es el caso del puente natural conocido como “Rollo de Calomarde”. Merece la pena disfrutar de este entorno que ofrece una zona de recreo junto a la cascada y hermosas estampas también aguas abajo, a veces manchadas por la huella que deja la basura del hombre. Este río es el afluente más importante del Guadalaviar en la sierra de Albarracín y presenta cañones de gran valor natural. La escasez de lluvias ha hecho que el caudal del agua, en otros tiempos utilizada para un molino, sea este año menor, pero así es más fácil apreciar los efectos del agua que forma caprichosas figuras para la imaginación del hombre. The lack of rain has made the water flow, once used for a mill, is less this year, but that is easier to assess the effects of water that forms whimsical pictures to the imagination of man. |
