Description
Deutsch: Die Burenziege, ist eine Rasse der Hausziege, die ihren Ursprung in Südafrika hat und vor allem zur Fleischerzeugung gezüchtet wird. Sie stammt von der Hottentottenziege ab, die wiederum ein Abkömmling der Nubischen Ziege ist. Im Bild ein 4 Monate altes Lamm aus einer Zucht in Raggal.
English: The Boer goat was developed in South Africa in the early 1900s for meat production. Their name is derived from the Dutch word "Boer" meaning farmer.
