Summary
English: The former beer hall of the Pschorr brewery from Munich at Friedrichstraße 165, corner of Behrenstraße in Berlin-Mitte. It was constructed 1887-1889 to a design by the architects Heinrich Joseph Kayser and Karl von Großheim. It is one of only a few originally preserved historic buildings in this part of Friedrichstraße. The rich ornaments of the facade, partly preserved and partly replaced after war damage, are by famous sculptors such as Otto Lessing, Jacob Ungerer and Franz Schneider. The building is landmarked. |
