Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Colliers´ Infirmary. Former Site of the colliers´ infirmary building (1878—2013). The building was pulled down swiftly and without previous notice in 2013. Since 1879 accommodation and medical treatment was given to injured and ill colliers of the Royal Collieries Zauckerode. Hitherto the injured colliers were taken to their small, ill-aired and sometimes untidy and always noisy homes and had to undergo their medical treatment in these troubles. The company physician was the superintendent of the infirmary: Dr. Leiblin until 1856; Dr. Seltmann (1856—1894); Dr. Moritz Fernbacher, 1894 and after.
Deutsch: Untergegangenes Denkmal.
