Description Today we watched a pipe band perform a few numbers in Dubai Mall - based on their flags my guess is that they were from the Dubai Municipality. Bagpipes are actually traditional musical instruments in parts of the Middle East - but in this case they were clearly performing in the style of a Scottish pipe band. Although kanduras instead of kilts is definitely a local touch.
