Summary
[edit]DescriptionAstoria Riverfront Trolley on trestle west of 2nd Street.jpg | Astoria Riverfront Trolley car 300 westbound on a trestle over a minor inlet of the Columbia River. This heritage streetcar line in Astoria, Oregon, has been in operation since 1999. Car 300 is an ex-San Antonio (Texas) streetcar built in 1913 by the American Car Company, by that time a subsidiary of the J. G. Brill Company. Although the Astoria line is not equipped with overhead trolley wires, car 300's two trolley poles (one for each direction of travel) have been re-installed on its roof, to improve the historical accuracy of the car's appearance. |
