Description
Deutsch: Eine Besonderheit des Almsees ist (war) die schwimmende Insel. Früher wurde sie durch den Wind und die Wasserströmungen im See herumgetrieben. 1996 ist sie am Ostufer aufgelaufen und sitzt seither fest.
English: A speciality of the Almsee is (was) the floating island. It used to be carried around in the lake by the wind and water currents. In 1996 she ran aground on the east bank and has been stuck ever since.
  
This media shows the nature reserve in Upper Austria with the ID n149.
