Dinkins, chaplain, Command Element, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, reunites with his family after returning to Camp Pendleton, Calif., from an eight-month deployment aboard USS Peleliu, May 13. The 15th MEU, comprised of approximately 2,400 Marines and sailors, deployed on Sept. 17, 2012, as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group. Together with Amphibious Squadron Three, they provided a forward-deployed, flexible sea-based Marine Air Ground Task Force capable of conducting a wide variety of operations ranging from humanitarian aid to combat.
