English: Lance Cpl. Isaac Paquette, H-1 mechanic, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 (Rein.), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, performs routine maintenance on an AH-1Z Super Cobra in the hangar bay of USS Peleliu, March 22. Paquette, 24 is from San Luis Obispo, Calif. He chose to become a helicopter mechanic because of the level of responsibility it requires and because he worked as a helicopter mechanic before he joined. He joined the Marine Corps because he wanted the experience, skills and discipline that the Marine Corps is famous for. The best part of the deployment for Paquette has been the opportunity to earn qualifications toward his military occupational specialty. He is looking forward to visiting family most when he gets home. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
