Description
Norsk nynorsk: Våpen for Ås kommune i Akershus fylke, godkjent ved kongeleg resolusjon 23. juli 1982.
Motiv: I rødt tre sølv spissruter, to over en.[1] Våpenet byggjer på arkeologiske funn frå steinalderen, om lag 7000 år tilbake. På garden Nøstvet i Ås vart det i 1879 funne flintøksar og andre reiskapar frå ein fangstkultur som seinare har fått namn etter garden. Spissruta er vald som heraldisk symbol for den funne øksa, og talet tre står for dei tre kyrkjesokna i kommunen. Sølvfargen i kommunevåpenet er meint å illudere sjølve flinten i øksane.
