- Indeed it is a Google Maps screenshot. But I don't think it is copyrighted in this way, because it is not used with the intention of a map, nor is it useful that way anymore. You can compare it to a photo of someone standing in front of a (copyrighted) painting. If that painting is only patially visible and if the main issue of the picture is the one who is standing in front of it, there is - in my opinion - no violation of the copyrights of the owner of that painting. Comment: Screenshots from Google Maps are non-free, because are copyrighted by Google and the institution that Google obtained the information. To avoid these kind of problems, please consider to use OpenStreetMap screenshots instead. --Amitie 10g (talk) 03:03, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the suggestion: I have replaced the background by an OpenStreetMap-background now. Maybe a moderator can make the original (copyrighted) version invisible. Erik Wannee (talk) 21:45, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
