Deutsch: Stefan W. Hell (* 23. Dezember 1962 in Arad, Rumänien) ist ein rumäniendeutscher Physiker. Er ist Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysikalische Chemie in Göttingen. 2014 erhielt er gemeinsam mit Eric Betzig und William E. Moerner der Nobelpreis für Chemie.
English: Stefan W. Hell (born 23 December 1962 in Arad, Romania) is a Romanian and German physicist and one of the directors of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany. He received a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2014 "for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy", together with Eric Betzig and William Moerner.
