Description
Italiano: San Lazzaro è una basilica, la cui copertura a volta viene interrotta da tre cupole consecutive. Il lato est della chiesa termina in tre absidi internamente semicircolari ma esternamente diversi poiché l’abside centrale ha cinque lati mentre quella settentrionale e quella meridionale sono a tre. Le tre imponenti cupole di questa basilica ortodossa e il campanile originale furono distrutti, probabilmente nei primi anni del dominio ottomano (1571 d.C.), quando la chiesa fu trasformata in moschea. Nel 1589, gli ottomani la rivendettero agli ortodossi, probabilmente a causa del suo cimitero cristiano.
