English: Baron Motoda Nagazane (元田 永孚, also read as Motoda Eifu, October 30, 1818 – January 22, 1891) was a Japanese scholar of confucianism during the late Edo period and Meiji era, and a retainer of the Hosokawa clan of Kumamoto.
