We Are the Penguins is a song created by the Club Penguin Island Team. It first appeared as a snippet in the sixth episode of season two of Island Insider. On September 1, 2017, Joe announced on the Island News Blog that there would be a music video for the song. The music video was released on September 8, 2017. The song became available for streaming on Google Play, Apple Music, Spotify, and more on December 1, 2017.[3]

- Ariana Greenblatt and Nicolas J Bechtel of Disney's Stuck in the Middle referred to the song as the Club Penguin Anthem in an Island Insider special, and later referred to it as the Club Penguin Island Anthem in the Blizzard Beach Takeover video. It was then referred to as The Penguin Anthem on the Island News Blog.[4]
- The song premiered at the Club Penguin Island event at Disney's Blizzard Beach, located at the Walt Disney World Resort.
- The music video first teased the Island Central zone, which opened in October 2017.
