Starfish or sea stars are echinoderms. Fuko finds them cute and lovable, hence why she carves starfishes (initially thought by Tomoya to be actual stars) to invite her classmates to Kouko's wedding. Starfishes can often be found in Fuko's character, such as in her theme song.
