Appearances in Christmas specials[]
- John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together
- A Muppet Family Christmas - The Swedish Chef shows up at Fozzie's mother's farmhouse to cook a Christmas turkey for dinner. Soon after, a live Muppet turkey, invited by the Chef, arrives and tricks the Chef into believing that Doc's dog Sprocket is also a turkey. After realizing that he has been fooled, the Chef manages to nab the real turkey again. But this time, the turkey convinces him that he should instead cook Big Bird, since he is a much larger bird. When the Chef invites the naive Big Bird into the kitchen, Big Bird presents him with a handful of homemade chocolate-covered birdseed, and they then sing "The Christmas Song" together. The Chef is moved to tears by the moment so much that he decides not to cook Big Bird or the turkey after all, and he instead decides to serve shredded wheat and cranberry sauce.
