Lumiere is a character from the 1991 Disney animated feature film Beauty and the Beast. He is the kind-hearted but rebellious maître d' of the Beast's castle, who was transformed into a candelabra. He has a habit of disobeying his master's strict rules, sometimes causing tension between them, but aside from Belle, he is arguably the Beast's closest friend, as the Beast often turns to him for advice.
