Acting as a public defender, Jarrod Barkley tests his family's spirit of Christmas giving by taking in a client otherwise facing jail for the holiday. The young girl, Maybelle Williams, is no lost Christmas waif, with her hellcat attitude and determination to rejoin her at-large outlaw boyfriend making even Jarrod wonder if everyone was right about this possible folly.
