Emma Webster[1] (née Daily[2]), better known simply as Granny, is a character from the Looney Tunes shorts. She is a generally good-natured, widowed woman who is extremely protective of her beloved pet canary, Tweety. Her overprotectiveness becomes apparent whenever Tweety is threatened, usually by Sylvester. Although having the appearance as a kindly old woman, she has demonstrated her cleverness in many cartoons.

References[]
- ↑ Granny's real name is derived from the shorts Hare Trimmed, which identified her first name as Emma, and Corn on the Cop, which identified her last name as Webster; this is further confirmed by her real name officially being stated as Emma Webster on The Looney Tunes Show.
- ↑ Adding on to the last note, since her brother from "It Happened One Night Before Christmas" has the surname Daily, this indicates that Daily was her maiden name.
