Christmas The Cowboy Way was a half-hour television special which aired on The Nashville Network (or TNN, which is now the Paramount Network) on December 17th, 1990. The special starred singing cowboy trio Riders In The Sky (guitarist Ranger Doug, fiddle-player Woody Paul, and bassist Too Slim) and Country music star Suzy Bogguss.
Synopsis
A bus of school children and their teacher Miss Marm (Suzy Bogguss) find themselves caught in the middle of one of the worst winter storms in Tumbleweed Valley's history. When the bus becomes stuck in the snow, Miss Marm and the children find refuge at the famed ol' Triple X Ranch, home of Riders In The Sky. While waiting for the storm to pass, the Riders do their best to entertain the kids "The Cowboy Way" with their signature style of Western music and humor.

- While the special has never had a formal video release, a copy can be viewed upon request at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.

- Riders In The Sky would later release a Christmas album with the same name of the special in 1999.
