Biography[]
Philip Boyd is an American actor and writer. He was born in Conyers, a city that is part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area in Georgia, with his three brothers. He decided to take a chance and move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting at the age of 19. After moving to California, Boyd made several TV appearances early in his career before becoming the well-known character "Oscar" on Tyler Perry's The Have and The Have Nots. In 2018, he was a part of the Oscar-winning film First Man. As of 2024, He has accumulated 75 credits in his career as an actor, and also has upcoming projects. Besides having one credit as a director and producer.
