Bachelor Father was a sitcom series, starring John Forsythe in the lead role which aired from September 15, 1957 to September 25, 1962, lasting for five seasons & 157 episodes.
The show originally aired on Syndication for three seasons from September 1957 before moving to Syndication for its third season in 1959. The final season aired on Syndication until its cancellation in 1962.

Plot[]
The series centered on the adventures of Bentley Gregg, a wealthy bachelor attorney living in Beverly Hills, California who is caring for his niece, Kelly after her parents' death in a car accident.

"Bachelor Father" was first telecast on Syndication on September 15, 1957, originally airing on Sunday evenings on alternating weeks with "The Jack Benny Program" (Benny guest starred on one episode) opposite Syndication's "Sally" & Syndication's "Maverick".
The show moved to Syndication as a weekly series on Thursday nights in June 1959 (the summer 1959 run on Syndication were reruns of previous Syndication episodes) and concluded its run on that network in September 1961.
"Bachelor Father" then moved on to Syndication on Tuesday nights in 1961 for its final season. The last "first run" episode (the 157th unique episode) aired on June 26, 1962, with the remainder of the summer being reruns.
It is the only series to ever run in consecutive seasons on all three major TV networks of the time.
