Stacked Burger

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week is: Anything goes, showcasing Brutus Monroe Products.

I have exactly one BM product: the Stacked burger stamp set, so I used it on my card eventhough I think it's discontinued.
I have stamped the image and sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair ink and colored it with watercolors.

I wasn't really sure what the drips were, but I went with sauces, ketchup, mustard mayo thing and guacamole as I saw that on an actual stacked burger photo .
I kinda missed a bit of green as in salad or gherkins, also balances the image better...

Adhered the watercolored panel to my card base.

Snowcats

For the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Besotted with our pets, showcasing Clearly Besotted Stamps.

I have a few Clearly Besotted stamps, but somehow, dragons, flamingos, hippos, (polar) bears, reindeers don't seem to make the pets cut.I do have one with a cat and dog, but I didn't fancy it hehe.
Instead I 've used the Simon Says Stamp/Mama Elephant Stamptember collaboration for the images and he Clearly Besotted set called Laugh out loud Christmas for the sentiment.

I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend makers and the background is Distress Oxides with white Dylusions paint
splatter.
I've mounted the images with foamtape and stuck them on top of my cardbase.

Toadally Snowy

The AAA Cards Challenge, on Facebook is: Icy.
The Male Room Challenge is: it's snowing.

For my card I've used the Whimsy Stamps Toadally Snowy and stamped it on marker paper and had the Scan N Cut cut it,it didn't recognize the little bits around the big snowflake, so I meant to restamp it on the carbase, but I forgot...It's Ok , it's still cute how the toad tries to catch the snowflakes on his tongue, I did that as a child too ;-)

The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays (Must love Snowflakes). the banner is Oxides (Tumbled glass and Mermaid Lagoon) and I splattered it with White Dylusions Spray paint.

Mounted the toad with foamtape and adhered it on top.

AAA Cards #157 with video

This Fortnight the challenge is : One Layer and Polar Animals
Our sponsor is The Ink Road,  but as I have none I've used the Lili of the Valley called Teddy With Penguin.
I coloured Teddy as a Polar Bear to fit my chosen theme.
Tomorrow January 20th is Penquin awareness day and on February 27th it's International Polar Bear day.

I've stamped my images onto watercolor card with Extreme black ink from My Favorite Things and colored it with Ecoline from Talens.

Now Strictly it's not a one layer as I'm adhereing my watercolour card on a cardbase. But as it's not matted and has no
apparent layers, it was  Ok with our Design Team.

For more information on the AAA Cards Challenge, or to play along, see this.

I shall enter this in to the Less is More Challenge: one layer + off centre too.

Lots of canaries

The less is more this fortnight is about being off centre on a one layer card.

So for my card I stamped a group of birds from Moda Scrap (funny birdie) with tones of yellow and orange, trying to make it an ombre effect from one bird to the other....you know instead of a rainbow hehe...
The sentiment is from the same set and I added a couple of matching enamel dots as confetti.

Be my Valentine

Yes it's that time of the year again, although in the Netherlands Easter eggs have already appeared, Valentine things have not made it to the local supermarket yet.

I made the card for the House Mouse Challenge: Anything goes + Food and Drink, and I thought the mice eating (my) chocolates was fitting.

It the Stampendous Set called Heartfelt Chocolates (HMCP105), I stamped it with a water proof ink,  the sentiment as well , that is from Clearly Besotted (Brushed sentiments).

I colored the image with fluid watercolors. I'm trying to do more loose water coloring, but the control freak in me won't allow me ;-)

Anyway mounted the watercolor panel with foamtape to a cardbase.

Use a Stencil

Use a Stencil is the new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, showcasing Altenew, but I have none.

For my card I used the Butterfly Square Die from Simon Says Stamp and diecut it from a panel.
Traced the panel opening onto the cardbase, masked and applied Distress Oxides: Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Peacock feathers through a Scrapberry stencil. Has to be my favorite foliage stencil (petals pattern).
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted (brushed Sentiments).

I've then reattached the butterfly border with Scotch tape to the panel and mounted the panel with foamtape, then attached it to the
cardbase. Added a few matching enamel dots.

Coral and true blue

that's  the Less is More Challenge, it started last week, but again I had to ponder on this one as it's not a natural colour combo, not to me anyway...so I went for Dinosaurs.

Also entering it into the Male Room Challenge: anything masculine goes.

Contrary to what we think, dino's don't have to be grey or greenish in my opinion...We think so for camouflage purposes, but have you ever seen a zebra? stands out to us humans, but blends in with B&W view most animals have, so if colour blind, navy blue and orange might just blend in with a green jungle lol...

So... onwards to my card; I've used the ModaScrap Dinoland 2 set and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers, the blue one is actually called True Blue.

The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped that with Versafine Clair ink, the images with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink.

Kitten caboodle

The Simon Says Stamp Monday  and Wednesday Challenges are: Something new, showcasing Whimsy Stamps.

For my Card I've used a new (to me) set  from Whimsy Stamps called Adopt, don't shop cats. I got it about a month ago from Simon  Says Stamp ;D

I have a few more sets from Whimsy coming from SSS, but I;m not sure they will make it in time to enter the challenges, if so I might make another card or two .

I've stamped image and sentiment with SSS intense black ink and colored the cats with Ecoline a fluid watercolor medium. I chose rainbow colors, cos I'm a crazy cat
lady...hehe and I wanted a fun colorful card not just greys and brown and such.

Happy Shaker

The AAA Birthday Challenge this month is: a shaker card.
They're also looking for a new DT memmber, if you fancy it, I am applying :-D

For my Shaker I diecut the word Happy from a sturdy panel. Traced the openings onto the cardbase so I could apply my rainbow Distress inks.As the word is short, I've used purple for my background.

I stamped the word Birthday underneath, it's from Simon Says Stamp It's your birthday 3x4 set.
The letters are from Marianne Design Col 1449.
Distress inks: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon.

For my shaker filling, I've used a large confetti glitter that is iridescent or translucent rather.
As the letters are so close together, I didn't fancy trying to separate the colours, so I applied colour to the background and used a glitter that wouldn't cover my colours.

AAA Cards Challenge #156 with video

The AAA Cards Challenge this fortnight  is a sketch with the optional twist of Winter birthday.
At first I wanted to make the card exactly like the sketch, with snowflakes. but I switched to digi stamps from our Sponsor Crafty scrappers and mice from a friend ( I think they are Stampin up).

For my card I masked off a strip on my kraft cardbase and applied Distress Oxides, I wanted to stamp the sentiment on the strip, but I also wanted splatters, so I decided to go for splatters and  Stamped the sentiment underneath. The stamp is from Simon Says Stamp Brithday 3x4 set and I've used Versamark ink and Wow white opaque bright white embossing powder.

I colored the car with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted it with foamtape.
To keep layers to a  minimal I made the  strip on the cardbase and instead of putting a kraft layer on a white base I've used an all kraft cardstock. I glued the mice flush to the cardbase and used them as my embellishments.

Peace on earth

I made this card early last year. then we changed our minds, so this is no longer the sketch, bus as I made it, I thought I would share it anyway.

For my card I used and old Uniko set, it's been rereleased in many guises, but the one I have is Jolly Christmas and I used the Santa from the set.
For the sentiment I've used another oldie, this time Hero Arts  Classic Christmas borders and I've stamped everything with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored the image with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.
I've applied Nuvo Shimmer pen on the hat and red coat for a bit of playful shimmer.
