I think the names of the weapons should be the names that appear in Call of Duty 4 not their actual name. It's rather confusing when your looking for a specific weapon and you have to try several articles to get the right one because you are unsure of the "proper" name. Any comments or objections? If not I will edit this to the in game names--Bigm279315:40, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

I dis-agree i feel that they should have more proper names then in game. Re-dierects can eaisly solve any of the navigation probloms. RoyalOrleans 17:58, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Even for someone who only knows the names of the weapons in game, it should still be obvious for most of them. And since all of the weapons in game are particularly well-known, I don't see it as an issue. Smiling Jack 18:32, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

This template should list them as they are titled in-game over their real/official desgignation (e.g.: "Spartan Laser" over "Noinclear Module Rifle Model 7", or whatever). The articles this links to, however would preferably go by their full designation (e.g.: "M16A4 rifle" over "M16"). Master SergeantSgt. ChiafriendRifleman 18:13, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Add M240?[]

I was thinking.. Should we add the M240 into the "Unused" section? I mean, in the M240 article, it mentions it in game but is unusable, so I thought that we could put it in this template because it is in CoD4, but is unusable.

In my opinion, nah, that would be like putting unused character models in the character template or something. Moozipan Cheese 01:41, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Guys?[]

Did anyone notice that the title says "Call of Duty4 Modern Warfare. Isnt this MW2?--DrkDragonz66 Talk 17:04, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

No, it's cod4, but apparently i was redirected here from mw2, strange... anyway, i think we should add the RPG-22 to the list of weapons, because even if you can't use them, they appear onto the back of some NPCs. RC95 09:51, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
