While I will am agreeing that this conflict will more be WWVI. So far of the story we know, it is just a cold war. —Unsigned comment was added by Seriona
Commanders[]
Are the fates of the commanders meant to be based on the actions of the best ending? MarksmanFTW (talk) 05:19, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
Not just the commanders, but the entire war template is written as if every good possible outcome was chosen throughout the campaign, which isn't necessarily the case. 99.138.92.222 20:37, June 21, 2013 (UTC)
Multiple endings, outcomes, etc.[]
From what I've seen on this page, the outcomes and alliances of the "best" ending is what seems to be listed on the template, as well as in each content paragraph. I feel that the entire page should be more expansive and encompass any and all possible outcomes the player will experience, which includes, but is NOT limited to:
- Any and/or all Strike Force mission failures
- Which would cause India, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, or any combination of the four to ally themselves with the SDC, instead of the U.S.
- Farid, rather than Harper, executed during the infiltration of Socotra Island
- For his betrayal, Salazar would then be executed by Harper rather than Section having him incarcerated
- Section and his team failing to secure Chloe "Karma" Lynch from Colossus
- Thus, leading a J-SOC team to attempt a snatch-and-grab operation to rescue her in Yemen
- Where she could also end up being killed, which would lead to a mission failure
- Thus, leading a J-SOC team to attempt a snatch-and-grab operation to rescue her in Yemen
- If both Karma and Mason were killed and Menendez was taken prisoner, he would escape imprisonment and murder Frank Woods and eventually commit suicide
- Section could execute Menendez, which would cause a massive riot in Washington, D.C. by Cordis Die supporters
Seeing as Black Ops II is the only game in the series to have a non-linear campaign, it only makes sense to mention every possible pathway the player could take. Green light ops (talk) 01:41, October 29, 2013 (UTC)
