Silver's Honchkrow (Japanese: シルバーのドンカラス Silver's Dongkarasu) is a Pokémon that Silver owns in Pokémon Adventures and his fourth overall. As of All About Arceus III, he is at level 79, and his Characteristic is that he is "quick tempered."

History

Gold, Silver & Crystal arc

Honchkrow and Silver

Prior to the start of the chapter, Murkrow was used to help Silver track down Lance, as seen in a flashback in Popular Pupitar. After finding him, Murkrow battled his two Dragonair. Due to the darkness, Lance returned them, allowing Murkrow to attack with Pursuit. The attack struck his Pupitar and ended the quick battle. After this Lance read Murkrow's memories in order to figure out what Silver wanted from him.

Honchkrow first appeared as a Murkrow in Quilava Quandary, flying Silver over Ecruteak City. In Piloswine Whine, Murkrow battled Team Rocket's Piloswine. Utilizing his ability to fly, Silver avoided Piloswine's Earthquake and attacked it with Polibo.

In Tyranitar War, Murkrow participated in Silver's battle against Gold. When Gold had Polibo attack Silver's Tyranitar with Water Gun, Murkrow blocked the attack with Wing Attack, allowing Tyranitar to finish Polibo off. Later, Murkrow helped Silver capture the Red Gyarados, using Pursuit to stop him from retreating.

In Delibird Delivery - 2, Murkrow chased the Masked Man and his Delibird after the two fled from battle. After catching up, Murkrow attempted to attack Delibird but was quickly attacked in return by Blizzard. The Masked Man further taunted Silver by telling him that he played right into his trap. Despite this, Silver recovered and had Murkrow deliver a barrage of Pecks at the Masked Man. Silver then used his Gyarados to bring all the Gyarados that were forcibly evolved to him and launched a powerful Hyper Beam at him. Despite the attack, though, Silver was quickly defeated.

Murkrow reappeared alongside the rest of Silver's team in Sandslash Surprise to help defeat a group of Sandslash.

In The Last Battle XI, Murkrow battled alongside Silver's other Pokémon to defeat Will by attacking with Sneasel's Beat Up.

In Surprised by Sneasel, Murkrow battled Sird and her Banette. Silver sent Murkrow to attack, only for him to be easily tossed aside by Banette.

HeartGold & SoulSilver arc

In Dealing With A Koffing Fit, Silver arrived at Lance's secret hideout and was soon attacked by a group of Petrel's Koffing. Murkrow and the rest of Silver's team managed to drive off the large horde of the Poison Gas Pokémon. Soon after, Murkrow and Sneasel evolved into Honchkrow and Weavile, respectively, due to the respective Dusk Stone and Razor Fang that were given to them by Green.

In Pleased as Punch With Parasect, Honchkrow was seen saving Silver from an attack from Ariana's Arbok. Soon after saving him, however, Honchkrow was hit by Glare and taken out of the fight.

In All About Arceus V, Silver and Honchkrow flew towards the center of the Mystri Stage in order to distract Team Rocket, allowing Gold and Crystal to launch the ultimate moves at Arceus's creations.

Personality and characteristics

Honchkrow is often very quiet and tends to stay towards the sidelines unless needed. Despite this, he is a fierce and powerful Pokémon, which is often seen when someone he cares about is in trouble. Honchkrow is also very stubborn at times and refuses to change his mind when he sets himself to a goal. He is Silver's main means of aerial transportation. As mentioned by Lance, Honchkrow has a strong memory and can remember everything that his Trainer has said and does.
