::::::::::::I'm almost certain that all ten have been referred to as Nobles in-game. I'm not sure about this quote from Kamado mentioned and don't remember it at all. Also, I disagree with MissDelibirda's interpretation of the website statement. "Some of these Pokémon, known as nobles, are particularly powerful". Grammatically, the descriptor "known as nobles" could be in reference to either "these Pokémon" or "Some of these Pokémon". MissDelibirda seems to be making the case for the latter, while I would argue it's the former. Similar fights
So I'm at a loss trying to find a proper place to include information on similar fights to noble Pokémon. Namely the fights against Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus. On one hand it doesn't make sense to put them on this page given that it's literally titled Noble Pokémon, yet we don't have a dedicated page or name for what these fights are called. Dot455 (talk) 23:17, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- If we use the term "Frenzied Pokémon", it will capture the entire group minus Arceus. All of them, also use Balms, but a name like "Throw Balm Challenges" or something sounds off. The deity Pokémon are also all fought at the Temple of Sinnoh, in case that's somewhere this all can be included instead. TehPerson (talk) 23:09, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Well in game they use the term "Quelling" to describe this new type of battle. In fact I changed the title of that section of the page to quelling just because it sounds better. And even with those three being fought at the temple of Sinnoh, it would probably make the most sense to list every fight on the same page. Even is Arceus is included by a technicality. I'm gonna propose we make a new page called Quelling or Frenzied Pokemon to cover all of these fights. Dot455 (talk) 23:26, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
Ride Pokemon
I think this is a pretty important discussion to have. When this page first started, I decided to include mentions of the 5 ride Pokemon, although they clearly serve a completely different purpose to those of the frenzied noble Pokemon, so they were eventually omitted as time went on because they just didn't belong here. I'm willing to include them on the Poke Ride page, but Poke Ride is such a different concept in every way except for mechanically. A new page for those Pokemon would be fine, but they don't really seem to have an official term for it, "special Pokémon" would work fine, as it's used on the main site, but that would conflict with the Special Pokémon page. However, special Pokemon is also used to refer to Noble Pokemon there as well. Any recommendations on where they should go? TrainerSplash (talk) 01:15, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- To be honest it feels like these Noble Pokemon should be included on this page. They're clearly called Nobles in game so page itself should probably be split into 3 different sections to accommodate this. The first one describing Nobles in general, the second describing ride nobles (As you encounter them first) with the final section detailing the frenzied Nobles. Dot455 (talk) 01:38, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- I strongly support Dot's proposal. There is no reason whatsoever that only the frenzied ones should be covered.--MissDelibirda (talk) 09:16, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- Actually, Kamado specifically says that Ursaluna is not a noble Pokémon at one point. So I don't think the rideable Pokémon count as nobles. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:07, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- The website says that "there are special Pokémon in the Hisui region that have received a mysterious blessing. Some of these Pokémon, known as nobles, are particularly powerful, while others are said to willingly assist the people of the region. Your encounters with these special Pokémon will be a key part of your story." This means that ridable Pokémon are not nobles, rather, noble and ridable are subcategories of this sort of special Pokémon.--MissDelibirda (talk) 10:28, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- In that case, is anyone here fluent enough in Japanese to see if there's an official name for these types of Pokémon over there? Dot455 (talk) 14:53, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- As far as I'm aware they're still referred to as "a special Pokemon blessed with a mysterious power". Both websites describe nobles and ride Pokemon as separate things, but still under the category of "special Pokemon with mysterious blessing." Should we just change the name of this article to something along the lines of "blessed Pokemon" and then move the actual boss battles (which include Arceus, Palkia and Dialga) to a different page, listing it as "quelling?" TrainerSplash (talk) 07:55, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Sounds doable.--MissDelibirda (talk) 08:03, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Unless if there's no objections in a day or two, I say do it. Blessed Pokemon and Quelling will be the two new pages. By the way I don't know how to handle renaming a page.Dot455 (talk) 18:01, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
