"The Legend of Chima" is the first episode of Legends of Chima: The Animated Series.
Plot[]
Laval the Lion and Cragger the Crocodile were the best of friends, yet trouble arises which splits the friendship in two. Cragger and a hesitant Laval, sneak into the Lion Temple together to see the Sacred Pool of CHI. They both having not yet reached "The age of becoming" were forbidden to use CHI, yet Cragger tempted by the CHI places it into his chest making him lose control. The Loins and Laval then chase after Cragger, which they eventually capture and chain. The incident is then reported to the Crocodile Tribe, the Crocodile King Crominus outraged his son was chained visits the Lion Temple. Cragger and Laval try to explain that it was all a misunderstanding, yet tensions rise. Eventually the Crocs leave, even though the issue had not been resolved. Cragger tempted by his hunger for the power of CHI goes again, this time with Worriz. As they entered the Temple, they were both quickly stopped by the Lion guards before they could get their hands on any CHI. As they fled, Cragger panics setting off a Croc flare leading to a full-blown battle between the Crocodiles and Lions. During the battle Cragger's parents Crominus and Crunket fall into the Gorge of Eternal Depth. With his parents gone, Cragger takes his place as the new King of the Crocs.

- When Cragger steals and places an orb of Chi in his chest, Longtooth and Leonidas enter the scene, Cragger enraged and out of control throws Laval out of the way, then throws two Leonidas' out of the way, instead of Longtooth and Leonidas.
- When Cragger accompanied by Worriz attempts to get an orb of Chi the second time, Leonidas, Lagravis, and Longtooth stop him. In this scene Longtooth had a white cloak on, but after Worriz ran away, Longtooth's cloak disappeared.
- Cragger's face turns blue in the middle of the episode.
